It is a hazy memory filled with echoes, whispers and shadows; some good and some bad. The past has much to offer if we open ourselves up to the inspirations it holds. Some would call a person infatuated with the past a nostalgic. I guess that makes me one, since I find great meaning in revisiting the past and the experiences, memories, and people who fill it.     ROBERT KING – DOTS OF INSPIRATION February 20 – April 20, 2019  Closing Reception April 20, 3-5pm Robert King starting sending intricate dot drawings one at a time from prison to his beloved Beatrice.  She was the only one on the outside to see them and she saved them all. Though she encouraged Robert to share his work once he returned to the outside it took him 20 years to comply. There was a good deal of fortuitous timing when Robert walked into the Pomerene with his storage box of artwork.—Robert’s work dealt with his recovery from addiction.     WHO DREAMS ABOUT ANTS

    WHO DREAMS ABOUT ANTS Little Pom Artists will be exploring block printing this spring as they illustrate a poem by William Blake. He dreamt about an ant. The poem, A DREAM, tells the story of an ant who has lost her way in the tangled grass and cries for her children in the dark. But not to despair — she’s rescued by a glow worm who lights her way and a beetle who “goes his round.” Together, our little artist children will work on illustrations to tell the story of William Blake’s dream.
