    PAINT YOUR UNIVERSE

      Paint Your Universe! Children will be making painted wall art on vinyl tiles.  Each week they will paint a tile—eight tiles in all—enough to transform a wall fragment, or floor, or room corner into a small painted universe of their very own. Wednesdays: May 29 -July 17 (8 weeks), 10-11am 3 age groups— for children entering grades K-3, for children entering grades 4-6 Itty bitty, playdate for preschool children ages 3-5 with an adult Cost $5 per week.     WHO DREAMS ABOUT ANTS

    WHO DREAMS ABOUT ANTS Little Pom Artists will be exploring block printing this spring as they illustrate a poem by William Blake. He dreamt about an ant. The poem, A DREAM, tells the story of an ant who has lost her way in the tangled grass and cries for her children in the dark. But not to despair — she’s rescued by a glow worm who lights her way and a beetle who “goes his round.” Together, our little artist children will work on illustrations to tell the story of William Blake’s dream.     IMAGINE PLANETS

    Opening February 7, 3-6pm through April 20. The exhibit features  ideas and prototypes developed by CHS students from the Astro Club, Art Club and the Industrial Technology Classes as part of ART CONNECTS CHS.  The ART CONNECTS 2018-19 problem is design and install a scale model of the solar system using stainless from AK Steel as a core material. The Sun will be placed at the Pomerene Center for the Arts artPARK and Jupiter at Coshocton High School.
