    Documenting the Landscape

    Megan Lightell DOCUMENTING THE LANDSCAPE OPENING SUN. OCTOBER 6, 1-3PM RUNS THROUGH DEC. 28, 2013 Starting in late summer of 2012 Nashville, Tennessee artist Megan Lightell returned to her home county of Coshocton Ohio to document the landscape. The collection of the year’s oil paintings will hang at the Pomerene accompanied by audio recordings of interviews with farmers whose land and favorite views she painted. Lightell’s work hangs in many fine collections, among them–Music City Center,The Art of Tennessee (Ayers collection at FirstBank), Iberia Bank, Blackberry Farm, Vanderbilt University Medical Center,Fearing’s at the Ritz-Carlton (Dallas),Martha Ingram, Kix and Barbara Brooks, Brown-Forman Group, The Turner Family Foundation.     LOCAL ARTISTS OPENING SUN. AUGUST 18, 1-3PM RUNS THROUGH SEPT. 21 Please join us for the 3rd annual exhibition of work by local artists OPENING PARTY organized by the Artist Friends of the Pomerene. People’s Choice Awards are given for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places. Come vote for your favorite.
