Tony Bible: weavolution the evolution of a longtime weaver…lifetime Coshocton County resident Opening party–Sunday, September 7, 2014, 2-4pm runs through October 25th check out the workshops Tony Bible will be teaching this fall Artist Leonardo Drew who visited Tony’s studio at the Columbus College of Art and Design in 2013 expressed his surprise; “How did you do it so quickly?” He was referring to Tony’s transition from craftsman to artist. MEREDITH FREE Opening May 25, 3-5pm runs through June 16, 2014 Meredith Free is a homeschooled high school junior currently living in Coshocton, Ohio. She has been studying the principles of art and developing her techniques in traditional media under the guidance of Christine Misencik-Bunn. Her work has been displayed in central ohio, and Washington DC. Credits include: Best of show, Coshocton Junior Fair (2009 and 2012); Best of show, Powerhouse Juried Student Art Show, Zanesville (2013); Runner-up in the 2013 Congressional Art Show; and most recently, Top 25 in the Ohio Governor’s Youth Art Exhibition (2014). Meredith seeks to continue learning and refining her craft, studying art at the college level.…

Our Hills Are Alive
Our Hills Are Alive Opening May 3, 2-5pm as part of Dogwood Festival 2014 & the 5K Urban Art Walk runs through June 16, 2014 The theme of this year’s Dogwood Festival, “Our Hills are Alive,” plays off the Triple Locks Theater production of “The Sound of Music” but alludes to Coshocton County’s  lively cultural and artistic life.  The Festival exhibit, opening May 3 at the Pomerene Center for the Arts, celebrates 5 artists: Doug Anderson–glass, Ron Corl–furniture design, Todd Malenke–metal sculpture, Joan Staufer–painting and Erik Neff–woodcuts.
